Insta-Tuesday

Today we tried something new: lunch at 11:00 and play outside at 11:30. It seems the 1/2 hour of running around before naptime worked - they went RIGHT to sleep! They looked particularly cute playing in the front yard today, so I snapped some Insta-Grams!

Insta-Splash!

Mother's Day yesterday blessed us with the PERFECT spring weather! I swear, it was that one day a year when it's not hot, not windy, not humid, just perfect. I loved it. Thanks for the gift, Mother Nature!

Since it was so nice, Aaron & I decided to fill up the splash table for the first time and let the kids go crazy. They loved it, even though we didn't put the water in until just a few hours before using it, so the water was a little cold! Our neighbors were outside at the same time and thought B&H were hilarious splashing and squealing.

I have a feeling we'll be doing this a lot this summer!

Insta-Spaghetti

I made spaghetti for dinner the other night. It was a big hit!

Insta-Zoo

So far behind on posts! We went to the zoo the first week of March and I'm just getting these photos up now. Whoops. I blame the toddlers. By the time they fall asleep, I'm so dead exhausted I can't do much else. No one told me it would get so hard!

We splurged and used some Christmas/birthday money to get a membership to the zoo. I think it was a wise investment - I can foresee many a Sunday morning spent exploring there! But only until about 10:30/11:00. Then it gets TOO BUSY for us!

Insta-Spring

With temps in the mid-60s, we couldn't resist playing outside for a few minutes after lunch today! The babies thought their outside toys were awesome. I foresee a very busy (very tiring) summer ahead.

Two things I learned today while playing outside:

1) I am really going to have to work them and train them how to get out together safely. The same goes for coming back in. Last year I'd take one outside and plop him or her on the grass, then come get the other one. That ain't gonna work this year!

2) We need 2 Cozy Coupes. So many tears over it today!

I'm looking forward to a fun summer outside with them. Maybe all that running around will just melt away the 20lbs I'm trying to lose.... :)

Insta-Fever

Ben is sick with a fever today - came up yesterday afternoon with a fever of 103; with Tylenol and rest it's hovered around 99-100 today. Since he's sick, we're stuck at home. So, I took the opportunity to use one of my new favorite apps, Instagram. I am so addicted.
